Optimizing Your Brain Health at Any Age

Our brains are our body’s control centres, not only for movement and sensation, but also for sleep, blood pressure, hormone regulation and mood. Head injuries, from a minor hit to a major concussion leave their mark on the skull – bumps and indents and even misaligned cranial bones. YES! The bones of the skull DO move! Damage to the skull decreases the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the brain, which decreases function and can lead to nerve cell degeneration. This process can be reversed.

In this presentation Dr. Rachel Carson, DC will share the latest research helping us better understand the brain’s healing processes of neuroplasticity and neurogenesis. She will share what you need to do today to optimize your brain function, whatever your current state of health.

Dr. Carson has a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and is a practicing chiropractor in Burlington, Ontario. She is trained in Cranial Adjusting Turner Style (C.A.T.S) by Dr. Roger Turner of Barrie, ON.
